"Words will never be able to express all that you have empowered me with.
With you, I found a voice that I had lost and with you, I found joy again.
You've caught me when I was falling. When you caught me, you gave me strength.
Speaking to you, I found colour, I found pleasure in the little things and most of all, I found that I am seen. God sent you my way, I will remember you as I hold onto my wings forever"
"I just wanted to say a big thank you from myself, (....) & Dad for all the support you have provided, not just to (....) but to us all. I am ever so grateful you were there at the start of (....) phobia and the extensive work you have done with her to make her phobia more manageable. We will be forever grateful"
"I just wanted to say thank you for being there for me since year 2. You have helped me get through some tough times and listened to me and comforted me. I have always felt safe with you and you always know the right things to say. I am really going to miss you"
"Thank you for everything you have done for me since year 2. I feel like a greater and happier person and could not have done it without you.
Thank you so much"
"Just wanted to say a huge thank you for everything you have done, not just for me and (...) but for my family. Life in our household is different, it's 'normal', that 'normal' I was searching for. You have made me truly love my family without trying to hold those feelings back and that feeling is unbelievable , feels like I've won the lottery.
Without you, me and (...) wouldn't be who we are today and the transformation in (...) just makes me burst with happiness and pride and writing this makes me cry happy tears because he would still be that sad boy. Seeing him smile so much more is priceless. We have our sad days but having the tools to understand them is invaluable and doesn't last long. Both me and (...) can say 'we are okay'. We are not in that dark place anymore struggling. I know it's your job but not everybody is good at their job but you certainly are. You are a miracle worker, a star! All what you have done we will be forever grateful".
"Thank you for being an amazing counsellor. I wouldn't have everything to help me without you and I wish you could be my counsellor forever but other kids need you.
Thank you"
"Thank you for helping me to become a more confident person and to push myself even when it was really tough"
"I just wanted to say thank you for everything you have done for (...) and I. From feeling completely lost at the beginning, to feeling positive for (...). (...) and I are very appreciative for your guidance!"
Working with Sarah over the last few years has honestly been life changing! I was struggling with so many relationships and areas in my life for various reasons. Working with Sarah I truly felt heard and understood. She is warm, patient and guided me to exactly where I needed to get to. Because of Sarah’s genuine, non-judgmental way I was able to share my experiences, which held so much shame and guilt for me, without this trust I wouldn’t have made the progress I needed. Sarah is extremely knowledgeable, she has helped me to understand my behaviours with immense empathy, allowing me to process and understand my experiences, enabling me to be my true self. Because of the therapeutic relationship that Sarah provided I was able to see things from different perspectives which helped me to learn and grow as a person. Sarah also gently challenged me when I lacked awareness, this really helped me to make huge progress and the changes I needed in my life. Sarah has the perfect balance of offering an honest, down to earth approach, within a professional relationship giving empathy and a safe space, empowering me to have the confidence to make my own decisions. As well as modelling life skills and how to have more boundaries within my own life. Sarah has equipped me with the tools and resources for life’s challenges. I have greater self-awareness and more self-confidence.
Finding Sarah has been one of the best things that’s happened to me. I wouldn’t be who I am today if it wasn’t for Sarah, which is the greatest gift.
“Sarah has been working with my 13 year old daughter for the past three years. Her help has been invaluable. My daughter has severe anxiety but with Sarah’s continued compassion, patience and professional advice she has brought her out of a very dark place and given her the tools to help cope with her anxiety and with what challenges life throws at her. As well as helping my daughter, Sarah has also supported me and helped us to understand our daughter as a person and put us on the pathway to getting additional help for her neurodiversity (which she spotted). She has gone above and beyond to assist with getting her a diagnosis and help at school. I will never be able to thank Sarah enough for what she has done for our daughter, she really is an incredible person!”
"It was important for me to find a therapist that I felt comfortable with as well as feel safe to be vulnerable. I had carried many deep and painful traumas from my past. Sarah was able to break through the walls I had created and gave me the space and courage to grow. She challenged me, and at times I felt uncomfortable, but this is where I made the most growth. If you are seeking a therapist who will truly see you, I can and will always recommend Sarah"
"When I first started seeing Sarah, I was worried about what counselling was going to look like.
I needn't have worried. Sarah has been gentle and professional throughout. She has gone at my pace, whilst sensitively bringing me back on track when I go off on a random tangent. I immediately felt comfortable with her and knew that I would be able to tell her anything and she would be ok. I love the way that she just asks "how has your week been?" and we just go from there. She doesn't mind that I cry at regular intervals nor that sometimes I can't put into words how I feel. She has been friendly. understanding and has helped me to unpack my life so that now I can look at it and feel able to deal with it. She has been instrumental in helping me to happily face the future knowing that I've dealt with the past. The time I've spent with Sarah has been so worthwhile. She has enabled me to be able to enjoy my life rather than just surviving it, something I wasn't sure I'd ever be able to do again. I can't sing her praises highly enough and happily recommend her to anyone that mentions they're thinking of having counselling. (And she has a never ending supply of tissues!!)"
"Before I started my counselling sessions with Sarah I was someone who lacked self-confidence, I felt shut down and I'd locked my emotions away even from myself. Through having counselling with Sarah I feel like I've discovered who I am and I feel so much more at peace with myself. I feel much more confident in myself and I've been finding and using my voice. My family and friends have also told me that they've noticed this change in me. I’ve especially enjoyed getting to work creatively with Inside Out characters, drawings and picture cards. I feel this has helped me to connect with and process my emotions and experiences. But more than this Sarah is just very real, authentic and kind. I've felt validated, heard and safe in every session. I couldn't feel more grateful to have counselling sessions with Sarah. It's been truly life changing."
"I have been working with Sarah for 6 months now and she has helped me immensely in that time. I am a huge advocate for therapy and have had different counsellors and therapists over the years... having moved to a new area, I thankfully found Sarah and instantly felt like she was the right counsellor for me at this point in my life. Sarah has a wonderful ability to ask the right questions, which allows me to really understand and figure out what I am feeling and why. Sometimes a simple question from Sarah can feel like she has taken a key and unlocked something in me which then means I am able to work through those emotions. My outlook on life and how I respond to situations outside of my control, has shifted significantly since working with Sarah and because of this I feel much more at peace and confident in my abilities to manage my mental health. I believe I am much kinder to myself and place myself much higher on my list of priorities than I have ever done in the past. Sarah is a kind, caring, dedicated professional. Over the last 6 months she has given me unrelenting support and compassion and I am truly grateful to her for the positive impact she has had on my life. I would not hesitate to recommend Sarah and cannot speak highly enough of her."
"I have worked with Sarah for over a year now and truly value my supervision sessions with her. She has consistently provided me with a safe space to process my client work, offering a great balance of challenge and encouragement. I am always blown away by her ability to 'feel' what is going on and this modelling has grown my ability and confidence to 'stay out of my head' and connect more deeply with my own feelings and intuition. I appreciate her offering creative ways of exploring together and sharing new ways of working with clients. I have particularly benefited from her knowledge and experience of working with neurodivergent clients and am grateful for all that I am learning from her."
"Sarah is a highly knowledgeable and compassionate supervisor. Her guidance and professionalism have been key to my development as a counsellor, enabling me to develop better relationships and understanding with my clients as well as Sarah’s in-depth knowledge that I am able to use within my client work. Sarah is so helpful and understanding, her skills have helped me to work with a vast variety of clients and their difficulties which has led to deeper understanding of my client work. Sarah provides me with constructive feedback, always giving me the space to process what’s happening which has led to me become a more skilled counsellor. Without Sarah’s support as my supervisor, I feel I wouldn’t be the counsellor I am today. I feel I have grown as a counsellor with greater confidence and self-awareness. I highly recommend Sarah!"
"As a new recently qualified therapist, I was looking for a supervisor who would help me to think out of the box, and challenge me when working with my clients. Sarah has helped me to think creatively in how I can engage professionally with my clients, and given me the confidence to develop and express my own ideas and value that I bring into the therapy room"
"I have been fortunate to have Sarah as my supervisor during my counselling training and as I began working with clients. From the very beginning, she created a safe, supportive, and encouraging space where I felt comfortable exploring my learning and development. Her warm and compassionate approach, combined with her wealth of experience, has been invaluable in helping me build my confidence and skills as a counsellor.
Sarah has a thoughtful and collaborative style of supervision, always encouraging me to reflect deeply while offering insightful guidance that helps me navigate challenges with my clients. She has also been instrumental in helping me develop my own therapeutic style, while ensuring I remain grounded in ethical and professional practice."
"As a newly qualified counsellor starting private practice, Sarah has been a huge help. She guided me through the financial and logistical aspects of this new career but also offered valuable insight into how I can further help my clients. Sarah's experience in creative interventions from working in schools, and her specialist interest in Neurodivergence is especially valuable for clients unfamiliar with articulating emotions."
